He Yi (何熠) or Cecilia is an artist and storyteller based in Brooklyn. She is a graduate of RISD illustration (2021) with a Concentration in Language Arts and Studies, focusing on film and literary analysis.
Her work is rooted in themes of familial and personal history/identity, mythology, travel and exile. In drawings and paintings, she explores the connections between language, light, and mark-making, creating a personal system of visual vocabulary and language that captures a transitory moment with the subject matter. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the world through drawing, reading, and watching films.
