Hannah Smoot is a Korean/American artist whose work takes inspiration from various sci-fi and cultural elements. She enjoys experimenting with relationships and explores the different ways a community can react to an event. Most of her pieces consist of an otherworldly setting in which a story is told through a single main character’s point of view. Around this character the viewer can see the dynamics of the society in the piece. She expresses her ideas through a broad range of media spanning from acrylics and oils to digital and has experience in animation and sculpture. She is currently working on various freelance projects such as illustrations for the upcoming movie Bathing Suits directed by Brad Hall, as well as preparing for multiple gallery showings.
